Autumn is my favorite. Apples and cinnamon and scarves and crispy leaves crunching beneath boots.

I wish you a glorious autumnal equinox, pumpkin-flavored & sweater-cozy.

The black & white renders them slightly incognito, but that field is indeed full of pumpkins:

And a happy Equinox to you!

The night-folk I blog for LOVE autumn…long nights and all that. I like it too. Used to like sweaters, but wind up washing them wrong and too often and they shrink. Pills bother me too. Shore towns in autumn are sublime. the orange glow is palpable. ….. and if I was making the movie, MARCO would be Joseph Gordon-Levitt and CELIA would be Natalie Portman…They even look like the images on the cover. Both are very graceful too……Oh, and don’t forget pumpkin pie and thick, split pea soup with bacon and croutons. …not for the movie…just for fall.

We celebrated the equinox with apple cider and spiced rum 🙂

Autumn is my favorite too! I’m moving this weekend to a place with a nice big kitchen where I can mull wine and cider and make hearty bread and cinnamon goodies and things stuffed with sweet pumpkiny goodness!

Oh, and Billy – JGL as Marco – brilliant. As if I wasn’t in love with the character enough already!! lol. But I kind of don’t want a movie. Like I do, because then Erin would make ridiculous money and I want that for her because she’s awesome, but I don’t, because I feel like Hollywood would do it wrong.

finished the book today. like the rest of the story, the ending is perfect and, omg, A.H. speaks! for him, a veritable monologue. sometimes when i finish a fantastically absorbing book, i feel a little bereft. but this time i felt invigorated, inspired. this is the perfect book to become immersed in during the early days of autumn.

oh please, no movie. but if there has to be one, please no stars. i think only 2 actors we’ve never seen before or seen very little could truly and fully inhabit Celia and Marco.

thank you for the adventure of a lifetime!
